- These are your input fields. By clicking on <Add New>
- or <Edit> you can create or edit a record.
-
- The Fields are all self explanatory, except maybe
- the <Priority> field. The <Priority> field is where
- you can enter a certain code for that person or
- company and then Sort by that field.
-
- Esc = Save Arrow Keys = Movement through the fields.
-
- In SETUP you enter your COM port, BAUD rate and TYPE
- of phone (Pulse or Tone).
-
- You also select.. the number of times to REDIAL,
- load or create a new data base, enter a PCX photo
- name, and turn on or off the calling LOG.
-
- DISPLAY lets you view your records 17 at a time.
- You may use <Sort> first and see them sorted by
- any field you select to sort on.
-
- EDITing allows you to change any previously entered
- data. Normal edit keys are used.
-
- PRINT will print two separate ways.
- The First way is to printout the actual <Name &
- Address Book>, or printout the <Calls> you have made.
- If you select <Calls> then you are asked if you want
- to printout the complete listing (ALL), or individual
- Months.
-
- FIND will look up any LAST name you enter. It's not
- case sensitive nor does it need the complete name to
- search for. A partial name will work just as well.
-
- SORT will sort the data base on any field you select.
- If you select to sort on the city for example, the
- <DISPLAY> will show them sorted in that order.
- The side <LETTERS> will jump in sorted order.
-
- TAGging is a very handy way to call certain people
- (sales) in an orderly fashion. Go through the records
- and TAG any person or company you want to call, then
- click on <DIAL> to call all the tagged records.
-
- You may also create a NEW Address Book (data base) by
- TAGging records. TAG all the records you want in the
- NEW Address Book then go to <SETUP> and click on
- <Create New Address Book from Tagged Records>.
- Then use the <LOAD> option to load them.
-
- UNTAG will do just that, untag the current record
- from a calling list or data base list.
-
- AREA CODES is a listing of the most used Area Codes
- in the United States. Click on <FLIP> to sort them
- by State or Area Code number.
-
- You may add to the list with an ASCII text editor.
- See files ACODE1.BRW and ACODE2.BRW.
-
- Clicking on the <DIAL> button will <Dial> the hi-
- lighted (yellow) phone number of the current record.
- If you have TAGGED any records, then it will <Dial>
- all the tagged records, one after the other. When you
- hear the phone ring, press ENTER to start the timer.
- Press Esc to hang-up (abort) the call.
-
- <T>op will move you to the TOP of the Address Book.
-
- <B>ottom will move you to the last record in the
- Address Book.

- the Address Book in one shot.
-

- in the Address Book.
-
- PHOTO allows you to add a B&W or 16 color PCX to your
- data base for each record. To <ADD> a photo to a cer-
- tain record.. view the persons record you want to add
- the photo to. Click on <SETUP> and then click on
- <Add photo to this record>. Enter the (PCX's) filename
- here. Then you MUST copy that file to the PHOTOS
- directory, which is right off the PLATHORA directory.
-
- The PCX file MUST be a minimum of 3" by 5" in size.
- If the PCX file is FULL page size, the (upper left)
- portion of the PCX file will be shown.
-
- Clicking on the LETTERS will allow you to jump
- to the (alphabetically first) Last Name of the
- clicked LETTER.
-
- If there is NOT, any Last Name under the selected
- LETTER, then you will be advised of this in the
- help box on the bottom row. You will then be
- brought back to the current record.
-
- Clicking on the LETTERS is NOT required to <Add>
- or <Edit> a record!
-
- This button allows you to ADD a NEW record to the
- Address Book. Just fill in the fields and then press
- Esc to Exit and Save the new record. The Arrow Keys
- allow movement between the different fields. Normal
- editing keys are used.
-
- ERASE will erase the current record from the Address
- Book. You can NOT get this information back again
- once you have erased it, so.. be CAREFUL!
-
- When you go to <ADD> a new record to the Address Book,
- it will fill-in this deleted space first to keep the
- data base at a minimum size.
-
- CALENDAR allows you to JUMP to the Calendar program
- to check on Dates or Reminders, or to add one.
-
- Exiting the Calendar will bring you back to the
- Address Book.
